ACCLERGEN ENERGY CAREERS

Analyst – Grid and Commercial Analytics

Accelergen Energy is a growing renewable energy development company headquartered in Austin, Texas, with remote work flexibility. We are building a pipeline of solar + storage and stand-alone storage projects in key markets across the U.S. by utilizing grid and commercial analytics as the key driver. Accelergen is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic young professional with strong quantitative and automation programming skills to join our Analytics team. The Analytics team provides detailed Grid and Commercial analysis to support the siting and development of superior utility-scale renewable energy projects. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual to significantly contribute to Accelergen’s growth.

The Analyst, Grid & Commercial Analytics, is responsible for conducting research using industry databases and statistical tools to support fundamental modeling of the US electricity system in WECC and SPP. A successful candidate will play an active role in conducting detailed analysis on US power markets, including tracking and forecasting policy developments, building and maintaining databases and models, and forecasting supply, demand, and prices in those markets. The candidate will also support transmission system analysis to drive Accelergen’s greenfield prospecting efforts and support the interconnection for its utility-scale project portfolio. The candidates’ efforts will track and analyze transmission systems, interconnection queues, and load and generation resources not just as they exist today, but how they are likely to be in the future. The role is critical to the siting and de-risking efforts of the entire development portfolio. Accelergen is looking for the analyst to provide strategic input and to create automated post-processing tools for our proprietary, in-house modeling and study efforts.
